MAINTENANCE TIP
What can I do to prevent frozen pipes? The temperature in your house should be set to a minimum of 65 degrees (even when you are away) during the winter months. When temperatures are below freezing for an extended period of time, open up your kitchen and bathroom cabinets to let warm air circulate around the pipes. You can also turn the faucet on just enough for a slow drip, this will keep pressure and constant movement through the lines, it doesn’t take much. Outside faucets should be shut off, drained and hoses removed.
